In this article you will have a brief essay
concept of terrorism, terrorism in India, Global terrorism
Introduction:
What is terrorism?
Is it really hard to define terrorism?
Is any special explanation needed to
define terrorism?
If the answer is 'no' to both the later
questions, then why is terrorism a problem prevalent in all parts of the world
whether it be a developed or developing or under-developed nation.
Technically defining, terrorism is the
phenomenon of frightening general people at large, by doing illegal activities
like bombing, hijacking of aero planes, kidnapping, etc. But practically it has
no definition, no perimeter, no dimension, and it can be done in any way, by
anyone and in any circumstances.
Terrorism in India:
Terrorism is now a common news in the
morning newspapers. Because of terrorism we have forgotten our characteristic
feature of Indian tradition like sacrifice, tolerance, brotherhood, secularism,
etc. Many Indian states like Kashmir, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura, Bihar,
etc. are in the grip of terrorism. India is the breeding ground of this
intolerable menace. JKLF, GNLF, LTTE, Khalistanis and Bodos are the catalyst to
the process. Communal riots are the also the outcome of such terrorism.
The Taj Hotel was attacked by the
terrorists on 26th November 2008 and the main culprit Ajmal Kasab has been
arrested and is under trial. Besides there was an attack on the Parliament on
13th December 2001, which shows that terrorists can reach any place in any time
and the peace-loving people are very much terrorized by such evil forces.
Global Terrorism:
Terrorism is not confined to India
alone. The terrorists are active in Palestine, Ireland, Pakistan, Srilanka and
even the superpower country like America is not out of reach (On ferrorists
grievously stroke America, when the hijacked planes crashed into the buildings
of World Trade Centre which collapsed into dust in few seconds, killing many
lives. The main brain to work behind it was the unique Osama Bin Laden.
Since the incident America has been on
its feets and was running operations to trace the unique brain. After a hard
inquiry of over 7- 8 yrs, ar last America succeeded to shoot Osama Bin Laden
dead on 2nd May 2011.
Conclusion:
So it is not that we cannot eradicate
terrorism, but we should try this collectively and unity is the only way to
solve the problem. Terrorism effects the economy and stops the prosperity of a
nation. It damages property, takes lives of innocent people and encourages
enmity and disharmony among people. So terrorism should be stopped at all cost
and all collective efforts should be given to solve the problem.
